Vermont Turf Conference
On December 5th Dave Alessandroni,
Jacques Steyn, Tim Ross and Mike Novotny made
the trip to the Fireside Inn in West Lebanon to
attend the Vermont Turf Conference sponsored by
the Vermont Greenscape Association.
Moderator and speaker for two of the sessions,
Randy Prostak, was as entertaining as he was
informational. Several other speakers from
UMass and UConn spoke about the latest research
and developments from their respective fields of
expertise relating to turf. Also included was a
room full of vendors with booths of information
on the latest and greatest turf related
products.
2018 Joint Winter Meeting
Co-sponsored by the NHLA, NHPGA and UNH
Cooperative Extension, the Joint Winter Meeting
was another success. The event included
renowned speakers and vendor exhibits. The
snowy morning started out with discussion groups
and was followed by general concurrent
educational sessions and a keynote speaker.
Carroll County Landscape, Inc. was well
represented as always and enjoyed a full day of
presentations. In attendance were Dave
Alessandroni, Jan Bicknell, Tim Ross, Mike
Novotny, Patti Thomas, Ron Lewis and Jess
Buccella. Due to the weather travel was slow
but a safe ride to and from was had by all.

Dreams and Solutions Green Industry Winter
Forum. This is another educational event held
at the Sturbridge Host Hotel & Conference
Center. There will be a winter educational
forum and job fair running concurrently.
Keynote speaker for the event will be Julie
Meservy, an award-winning landscape designer and
author.
NHLA Spring Conference
The staff of Carroll County Landscape, Inc. will
be attending this annual event in March. NHLA
puts on a terrific set of educational sessions
with speakers from across the country.
It’s at a time when the weather is starting to
feel a bit more like spring and energy levels
for the upcoming season are high. We’re
all looking forward to getting together again as
a group and taking advantage of another
educational opportunity.
